When starting out, Antoine Sunier's two biggest influences were his older brother, Julien Sunier, and natural wine legend Jean-Claude Lapalu, with whom Antoine did a stint following his studies in Beaune. After acquiring his own Morgon and Régnié vineyards in 2014, his debut vintage has immediately received recognition from around and beyond.
Thanks to his brother Julien's contacts (who is also a winemaker based in Beaujolais), the vineyards themselves have all been extremely well maintained and farmed organically, the Régnié is in official conversion and the Morgon certified for over a decade. Wines are crafted in a natural way, and easily go along with top names from the region.
Just like their wines, the brothers are kind-hearted, extremely welcoming, and with no rough edges. This is an exciting young domaine with a bright future ahead. Do not miss out these great values Bojos!
