Organic farming practices are not commonly seen in Beaujolais, making Antoine Sunier a rare and exceptional figure who truly believes in their importance. Antoine represents the new wave of Beaujolais winemakers that fill us with excitement and anticipation.
When Antoine started his winemaking journey, he was greatly influenced by his older brother, Julien Sunier, who is also a well-respected winemaker in Beaujolais. Learning from esteemed mentors like Jean-Claude Lapalu from Beaujolais and Christophe Roumier from Burgundy has propelled Antoine's ascent to becoming one of the finest winemakers in the region. In 2014, after acquiring his own vineyards in Morgon and Régnié, Antoine's debut vintage received immediate recognition from critics and enthusiasts alike.
Thanks to the connections provided by his brother Julien, the vineyards under Antoine's care are exceptionally well-maintained and farmed organically. The Régnié vineyard is currently in the process of official conversion, while the Morgon vineyard has been certified organic for over a decade. Antoine crafts his wines in a natural manner, aligning them effortlessly with the top names from the region.
Just like their wines, Antoine and Julien are kind-hearted individuals who warmly welcome visitors with open arms. There are no rough edges in their approach. These are serious, terroir-driven Beaujolais wines that deliver nothing but pure pleasure when enjoyed. The Domaine represents an exciting young venture with a promising future ahead. Don't miss out on these outstanding value Beaujolais wines!
